About

I live in downtown Richmond, Virginia (Jackson Ward) in a renovated parking garage with my husband.  Said husband is the proud owner of a rather elaborate home brewing system, which means at any given time I also live with twenty gallons of beer in varying stages of fermentation.  Lucky for me, I like craft beer.  I also like good food, of which there seems to be a plethora of in my neighborhood these days.  I feel grateful to be surrounded by both at all times.

I also like words, a lot.  After years of searching for my creative outlet, (I’m looking at you –  lumpy pottery, half-made scarf, 15 college credits of art, and semester as a theatre major) and being told by friends that my e-mails made them laugh; I finally found my voice and sat down to write a novel or two.  I started this blog as an exercise for learning to express myself in less than 300 pages.

My debut novel, Neverending Beginnings,  is available now.

I’d love to hear from you!  Drop me a line: marychrisescobar (at) gmail (dot) com

  1. Hey, lady…loving the blog (I’m now a follower!) and so excited for your self-published novel. Looking forward to seeing you this weekend in Brooklyn and hearing more about your process (and that closet!).
